Barry Capiaux

Saxophone.

Barry Capiaux has been playing music for most of his life. His first instrument was clarinet but upon entering high school, he began playing the saxophone. He played in the Monterey Jazz Festival high school honor band in 2003. That band lead Capiaux to play festivals such as The Taste of Chicago, The Montreal Jazz Festival, and the Monterey Jazz Festival. He has also toured the western United States, Puerto Rico, and Baja California with different reggae bands. Capiaux has had the honor to study with such notable sax players such as Paul Contos, Sherrman Irby, and more recently Charlie McCarthy. He is currently a student at SF State University.

 


BILL KEANEY

Drums

William Keaney started playing drums at 12yr, taught by Mickey Hart. He later developed interests in Percussion, Jazz Piano and Composition. Bill performed on an album with Jaco Pastorius in the 80’s. He is also a published poet in the Library of Congress.


ROBIN MONTGOMERY

Guitar


Robin is a Blues Guitar player and has played with such groups as the Santa Cruz, Ca. “W. Spyder Blues All Stars”, “J.B.’s Blues Band”, “Montgomery All Stars” and many more. Robin’s guitar playing is influenced by the music of Coltrane, Miles Davis and Wes Montgomery. He now blends his Blues and Jazz Guitar with the World Music Beat of “GrooveYard” playing Fender Guitars and Fat Body Jazz Guitars to produce his unique sound.


FRANCOIS EGRON


Bass


Francois played and toured France and Germany with various bands in the early 70’s, such as “Marc Remy ET Son Ensemble”, a twelve piece dance band and “Gwen” an early jazz fusion quartet. He moved to San Francisco in 1976. Francois has played with many local Bay Area bands and opened for such names as Alan Holdsworth and Sheila E.
